Before the Book Hits the Shelves… A Note from Me to You

Hi friends,
We’re almost there. My debut novel, The Masters Club, is about to make its way into the world—and I wanted to take a moment to share the story behind the story.
Because long before this book had a title or a cover… it was a feeling.
A tug in my chest that said, “Write this one for you.”
I’ve written speeches, strategy decks, poems, and PTA newsletters. But this book? This was different. It’s the first time I let myself write something deeply personal and unapologetically mine—a love letter to reinvention, real friendship, and finding your lane after life flips your goggles off.
And I couldn’t have done it without the book community that welcomed me long before I had a book of my own.
The Journey to This Moment
I’ve been writing since I was a kid—filling notebooks with stories, dog-earing every book I loved, imagining a world where I might someday contribute something of my own. That someday took a while.
I got busy with life. With work. With raising kids and leading projects and being “fine.”
But the stories never left.
Eventually, I joined writing groups, both local and online. I found a circle of voices who understood the thrill of a breakthrough sentence and the sting of a form rejection. I shared chapters, got feedback, cried, revised, and kept going. I found courage in community.
And slowly, a messy draft turned into a manuscript. And here we are—on the edge of launch day.
What This Book Means to Me
The Masters Club isn’t just a story about swimming, although there’s plenty of chlorine. It’s about midlife reinvention. About female friendship that’s fierce and funny and deeply healing. About choosing joy and taking up space and letting yourself want again.
It’s for anyone who’s ever had to start over.
And if that’s you, or someone you love—I hope this story feels like a high-five and a hug.
What’s Coming Next
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes content, book club resources, and some very fun launch surprises. (Spoiler: glitter scrunchies may be involved.)
If you haven’t subscribed to my newsletter yet, now’s a great time to join the club. I’d love to keep you in the loop!
Thank You
Whether you’ve been cheering me on since draft one or just landed on this page by happy accident—thank you.
Your encouragement, messages, and belief in this story have meant everything. Truly.
Let’s launch this thing together.
With gratitude, excitement, and a very full heart,
